Took nearly two months but I'm finally done with this little guy. He is part of a series of flying animals I'll be doing along the alphabet. (so he's letter S ...)
He's not actually a flying squirrel, he is just a normal one with a rocket on his back.

Feedback is greatly appreciated! I'd really like some advice on "drawing things that fly" or posing tips in general.

:star: If you give me some feedback I will return the favour on one of your artworks :star:

Have I seriously forgotten to comment on this one? Whoa!

I have to say at start - the idea is amazing haha!

I really like the shading, feels really well made, and it seems that you've spent some time to get it right =)
Expression and the pose are done really well too. Theese subtle blends as well as smart usage of both smooth and "bush" fur show motion really well!
Colors are really nice, pleasent for eye. It's fun to see vibrant colored squirell dashing through calm blue sky!

I think that adding more vibrant yellow and some white to the fire would make it stronger, on the other hand it could be distracting, so the current one is not that bad at all.
I also love the subtle blend between smoke and clouds, cleverly thought!

I can't really think of any bigger issues. Good job on this piece =)

It is a very simple drawing, but the simplicity fits perfectly with the idea.
